Half Day Akha and Yao Hill Tribe (8.30 -12.00, 13.00 - 16.30)

Your trip starts by minibus to Mae Chan district, visit the traditional Akha and Yao hill tribe
villages. The Akha originated in Tibet and are among the poorest of Thailand’s ethnic
minorities, while the Yao originated in China and are heavily influenced by Chinese traditions,
still using Chinese characters in their written language. Although different in many ways, they
have managed to live peacefully alongside each other for decades. Operates 08:30 - 12:00, 13:00 – 16:30 daily.
